Industry leaders stack ABA board, executive committee

WASHINGTON, DC — The American Bakers Association (ABA) revealed its 2026-28 executive committee and board of directors during the Annual Member Meeting at its 2026 Convention, held April 19-23. in Colorado Springs, CO.

“We are fortunate to welcome this exceptional group of leaders to the ABA executive committee and board of directors,” said Eric Dell, president and CEO of ABA. “Their collective expertise, future-focused vision and deep commitment to baking manufacturing come at a pivotal moment. As ABA advances key priorities to support the industry, these leaders will play a critical role in driving progress and ensuring a strong, innovative future for all of commercial baking.”

The ABA board elected the following members to serve on the executive committee:

“I’m honored to step into the role of ABA chair and grateful for the trust the membership has placed in me,” LeComte said. “Building on the strong momentum we’ve created, I’m committed to working with my fellow Board Members to ensure ABA continues to serve as the leader, unifier and forward-looking voice for the industry.”

In addition to the new executive lineup, ABA elected four members to the 2026-28 board:

Jesse Amoroso, president and COO at Amoroso’s Baking Co., represents the fifth generation of family leadership and has held a variety of roles across the organization. Amoroso has been actively involved in industry initiatives, previously serving as co-chair of ABA’s NextGen Baker program and on the board of directors for the Independent Bakers Association.

“I am deeply honored and grateful for the opportunity to serve on the ABA Board of Directors,” Amoroso said. “It is a privilege to contribute, and I look forward to bringing my multi-generational perspective to strengthen member engagement, help cultivate the next generation of industry leaders, support ABA’s advocacy efforts, advance workforce development, and contribute to sustainable solutions that will shape the industry’s long-term future.”

William (Bill) Bundy, CEO of Bundy Baking Solutions, has had an expansive career beginning at the age of 16. Bundy has been instrumental in expanding its international presence and his leadership has driven growth for the company.

“I am honored to join the ABA board and serve this great industry that our family loves and respects so deeply,” Bundy said. “I look forward to supporting the work that keeps the baking industry strong, visible and positioned for the future.”

Yianny Caparos  CEO of Crown Bakeries, where he leads the company’s strategic growth and operational initiatives. Caparos has served in a variety of leadership roles across the company, building strong customer relationships while driving operational excellence and innovation. He has been honored as a member of the American Society of Baking Hall of Fame.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve on the ABA board,” Caparos said. “Eric Dell is a tremendous leader and I look forward to contributing to ABA’s strategic plan for our fine industry.”

Carrie Jones-Barber is the CEO of Dawn Foods. With more than thirty years at the company, she has played a pivotal role in shaping its global presence in sweet bakery products. Since becoming CEO in 2006, Jones-Barber has led the company through significant growth, including major international expansion and strategic acquisitions, most recently entering a definitive agreement to be acquired by Puratos.

“I am excited to continue my work on the ABA board,” Jones-Barber said. “The work that we do is meaningful and important for our industry, especially in these volatile times.”
