DALLAS — After years of operating its corporate headquarters in Horsham, PA, Bimbo Bakeries USA (BBU) has made the strategic decision to relocate to Dallas.

This move offers the baking company several benefits, including, but not limited to, a more centralized location, proximity to Grupo Bimbo’s Mexico City HQ and a presence in one of its largest markets.

“We are deeply grateful to the greater Philadelphia community,” said Greg Koehrsen, BBU president. “The Philadelphia area was our home for 17 years, and we will always appreciate the important role it has played in our journey.”

With multiple BBU commercial bakeries, sales centers and distribution facilities based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, the relocation places its leadership closer to key parts of the company’s operations. The region’s infrastructure also enables future growth opportunities.

“Our commitment to baking and delivering the highest-quality, nutritious and delicious baked goods and snacks to our customers remains our top priority,” Koehrsen said. “Relocating our headquarters to Dallas positions us to operate more efficiently as we continue investing in our brands and our communities.”

BBU’s senior leadership team and other employees have already begun working in the new office, located at 5525 MacArthur Blvd. in Irving, TX. Given the diverse talent pool in the metroplex, the company also intends to keep recruiting for additional corporate positions at its new headquarters. BBU is also working to build relationships with other businesses in the Dallas area, as well as bolstering its relationships with local universities for early-career recruiting.

“Texas was our first home and played a defining role in our early history,” Koehrsen concluded. “We’ve built a strong presence here over the years, and this region remains central to who we are today. We’re looking forward to deepening those roots as we grow and continuing to support the communities that have supported us.”

Though the company is no longer headquartered in Philly, BBU’s Conshohocken sales center and regional operations will sustain its presence in the region.
