EAST HANOVER, NJ — Mondelez International is combining the demand for global flavors with the success of cross-market partnerships by teaming up its signature cookie brand with K-pop group BTS. OREO released limited-edition OREO & BTS Cookies in a global launch spanning more than 80 markets.

The latest flavor taps into the profile of hotteok, a warm, brown sugar–stuffed pancake popular in Korean street food markets. The product features a sweet crème that remixes these flavors into OREO’s traditional sandwich-cookie format.

“At its core, this partnership is about shared passion,” said Matt Foley, VP of marketing for OREO. “We’re uniting BTS’s incredibly dedicated fanbase with our own loyal OREO fans to create something genuinely new and exciting. It’s this commitment to uniting our fanbases that keeps us at the forefront of pop culture and demonstrates how a brand with a rich history can continue leading the conversation.”

The partnership with OREO marks BTS’s first brand collaboration. As the band gears up to celebrate its 13th anniversary, the OREO & BTS Cookies feature 13 distinct BTS-themed embossments, including the band members’ names, a BTS light stick, and three cookies that can be placed together to form a special message to BTS fans.

The OREO & BTS Cookies will be available for online presale June 1, with retail distribution starting on June 8.
