IRVING, TX — The latest portfolio additions from Oroweat, a brand under the Bimbo Bakeries USA (BBU) umbrella, offer consumers the means to meet their nutrition goals.

“People want simple ways to power their day with extra fiber and protein,” said Orela Suku DeCurtis, director of marketing for Oroweat. “Oroweat Fiber Power Bread and Protein Bread make hitting those nutritional milestones easy and delicious, using a first-of-its-kind blend of plant-based fiber and protein.”

The BBU brand’s new breads offer a notable amount of each health attribute. The Fiber Power Bread boasts 14 grams of fiber, while the Protein White Bread and Protein Honey Oat Bread each offer 20 grams of protein per two-slice serving.

These offerings fall in line with the Functional Health segment of Oroweat’s portfolio, which includes other breads, buns and rolls that emphasize carb control or keto status. The product launch follows a string of recent innovations from BBU brands, such as Sara Lee Bread and Thomas’, as well as a $1 billion investment from Grupo Bimbo in the US business.

Oroweat’s new breads are available at retailers nationwide for an SRP of $7.69.
