MINNEAPOLIS — Baked goods manufacturer Rise Baking announced that CPG vet Sarah Testa is joining its c-suite as chief commercial officer.

Her background includes executive leadership roles at Flagstone Foods, TreeHouse Foods, and, most recently, Roskam Foods, as well as experience in enterprise growth strategy and commercial transformation.

“Sarah is a proven leader with the vision and experience to help accelerate our growth and strengthen our customer partnerships,” said Mark McNeil, CEO of Rise Baking. “Her ability to connect commercial strategy to execution, combined with her collaborative leadership style, makes her a great addition to our team as we bring all of our commercial functions together under one leader.”

As chief commercial officer, Testa will oversee Rise’s end-to-end commercial organization, strategic direction and market share growth opportunities with a focus on advancing initiatives that support long-term performance.

“I’m excited to join [Rise Baking] at such a pivotal moment for the company and be part of a team that is so clearly focused on its people, customers and future,” Testa said. “I look forward to building on the company’s strong foundation.”

This marks Rise’s second major c-suite announcement of the year, following McNeil’s appointment in January. In addition to its people investments, the baking company is also working on expanding its Pleasant View, UT, manufacturing facility. Upon completion, Rise will have the necessary resources to optimize its production network and grow its pie-making capacity.
