ROBESONIA, PA — Reading Bakery Systems (RBS), a manufacturer of baked snack production systems, announced the promotion of Steve Moya to Manager of the Science and Innovation Center on Wednesday. He comes to the role after serving as a process engineer for the center since 2019.

Travis Getz, VP of operations at RBS, said the company was happy to recognize Moya’s hard work with this promotion.

“It is a direct reflection of his leadership, the valuable contributions made and his commitment to excellence,” Getz said. “His unique blend of mechanical designer experience and process knowledge will prove to be beneficial to the success of our customers and RBS.”

Moya began at RBS in 2017 as a mechanical engineering intern and steadily worked his way up to his current role. He studied electro-mechanical engineering at Pennsylvania State University and is also an Army veteran.

In his new role, Moya will oversee the center’s facility and staff in addition to leading customer on-site and virtual product trials. He will also be responsible for directing research and development projects for the company.
