FORT WAYNE, IN — Perfection Bakeries, doing business as Aunt Millie’s, has issued a recall on its 8- count packages of Our Family White Hot Dog Buns due to undeclared sesame. The products have been recalled from the distributed retail stores in MI, OH, IN and IL.
The hot dog bun packaging is marked “Our Family Hot Dog Buns 8 ct.” and has a blue twist tie. The UPC is 0-70253-75107-3, and include Best By dates 4-9-2023 and earlier.
The recall was issued after the bakery discovered the sesame-containing product was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of sesame. Production of the product will not continue until the FDA and Aunt Millie’s complete their investigation and are certain the market has been cleared of any incorrect packaging.
Consumers who have purchased Our Family White Hot Dog Buns are advised to return them to the distributor for a full refund. Any consumer who may be experiences symptoms of an allergic reaction should seek immediate medical attention.
