EVANSVILLE, IN — Lewis Brothers Bakeries, a family-owned, century-old baking company, is growing its leadership team with the addition of Chris Daggy as VP of commercial strategy and execution.

“I officially joined the team last week and have already been energized by the warm welcome, strong values and the company’s rich heritage paired with a strong growth mindset,” Daggy said via LinkedIn. “I am looking forward to partnering with a talented team and contributing to the next phase of Lewis Bakeries’ journey.”

Daggy brings 19 years of experience to the role, most recently serving as senior director of DSD snacks and commercial bakery at Kroger.

Starting as a co-manager in 2006, Daggy worked his way up the ladder at Kroger. As senior director, his responsibilities included overseeing strategic planning and supporting vendor relationships.

“I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities, challenges and experiences that shaped my career over nearly two decades,” Daggy said. “Most of all, I am thankful for the incredible people I have the privilege to work alongside. The relationships, mentorship and friendships will always stay with me.”

The new leadership addition will support the brand as it makes a bigger move into the better-for-you bread segment with portfolio additions such as the Better Way line.
