DUSSELDORF, GERMANY – The interpack tradeshow, which focuses on processing and packaging, has announced that the 2023 show is already 85% booked.

The rapid booking of booths comes off the heels of pandemic-related cancelations and excitement to return to in-person shows. Those exhibitors who had reserved booths for the 2020 show, originally postponed and then canceled, had the option to re-book for the 2023 show, which led to spots filling up fast. The interpack 2023 show will be held May 4-10, 2023 at the Dusseldorf, Germany, fairgrounds.

“We are thrilled with the response from our customers. We keep hearing that they can hardly wait for interpack to finally take place again, and as an in-person trade show where you can meet face-to-face,” said Thomas Dohse, project director of interpack.

The group said that, according to feedback from the industry, digital offerings that the world relied on in the thick of the pandemic were seen as a plus that provided value, but that in-person trade shows were irreplaceable. In-person experiences provide opportunities to make connections and build a trust you can’t get behind a screen.

An in-person interpack also provides the opportunity for companies to demonstrate technically complex machinery and systems where detailed explanation is often needed. Customers also benefit from the opportunity to compare solutions from different providers.

Interpack also revealed a new slogan for the 2023 show, “Simply Unique,” driven by what the company described as the uniqueness of interpack characterized by the diversity of products and services that exhibitors offer. The show will also focus on trends for the upcoming years, with a major trend being sustainability.

Although the show will be in-person, there will still be digital offerings available, according to Dohse. The world is still waiting to hear what special theme the show will select for 2023, and details are set to become public during the next year.

Exhibitors can still register for interpack 2023 on the interpack website. Registration is open for companies that focus on processes and machines for packaging and processing packaged goods along with those who produce packaging materials, containers or specialize in packaging manufacturing.
