LAS VEGAS — Dawn Foods and the Society of Bakery Women are teaming up at the International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE) for “Donuts with Dawn,” a celebration of diversity during a morning networking event taking place at 9 a.m. in Dawn’s IBIE Booth #1601. Designed to connect women across the industry, Donuts with Dawn will feature remarks from Carrie Jones-Barber, Dawn Foods CEO; Cordia Harrington, founder and CEO of Crown Bakeries and American Society of Baking board chair; and Brittny Stephenson Ohr, director of product management for Sugar Foods Corp. and American Society of Baking chairman of the board.

Lee Sanders, senior VP, government relations and public affairs and Society of Bakery Women president, will serve as master of ceremonies.

Earlier this year, Dawn launched its Women’s Leadership Development Program, led by Felisa Stockwell, senior director of global people and culture at Dawn Foods, and Osvaldo Santos, LATAM senior director of HR for Dawn Foods Global. The program, which requires an 18-month commitment from participants, is designed to provide women leaders in the company access and visibility through a partnership with renowned training group Linkage.

The program thus far has been well received throughout Dawn globally, and the company hopes to set an example for other companies in the baking industry to emulate.

While this event wouldn’t be complete without a morning of donuts with Dawn, no IBIE attendee can miss a bakery favorite and Dawn showstopper — cake.

Technical experts will be on hand demonstrating creative inspiration from the company’s cake portfolio and offering tips and tricks on how cakes from Dawn can bake level with less waste. Learn how programs like Dawn’s Gourmet Cupcake can drive additional sales with designs that are easy to execute with minimal labor or experience.
