CAMDEN, NJ — To support the company’s growth and multi-year strategic plan, Campbell Soup Co. announced the appointment of Chris Foley, current president of meals and beverages, to president of snacks and Mick Beekhuizen, CFO, to president of meals and beverages effective immediately. Beekhuizen will continue to work as CFO until a successor is named. Both will continue to report to Mark Clouse, Campbell’s president and CEO.

“Both Mick and Chris have played significant roles in Campbell’s transformation over the last several years by enhancing our culture and improving our business performance,” Clouse said. “Mick possesses exceptional strategic thinking and commercial and financial acumen coupled with a focus on operational excellence. He is known for team building and collaboration, which will be instrumental in his new role as we drive the continued growth of our M&B portfolio in large and attractive categories.”

“Chris is a proven brand and culture builder with a track record of delivering sustainable growth and developing high-performing teams, which are critical to accelerate the snacks growth and margin trajectory,” Clouse continued. “I am confident both he and Mick are the right leaders to continue to build our momentum and unlock our full growth potential.”

Foley — who is stepping into the role following Valerie Oswalt’s departure to a role at another company — will oversee the $3.9 billion snacks division. Since June 2019, Foley improved product quality, drove innovation and marketing, and contemporized Campbell’s iconic brands, revitalizing the meals and beverages division and making it fundamentally stronger.

Prior to his role in meals and beverages, Foley served as CMO of Pepperidge Farms from 2015 to 2018. He also worked as CMO for the snacks division, where he played a critical role in the acquisition and integration of Snyder’s-Lance.

Beekhuizen joined Campbell as CFO in September 2019. Under his new role, he will lead a $4.6 billion division that includes soup, simple meals and beverages in retail and foodservice across North America. Prior to his time at Campbell, Beekhuizen was executive VP and CFO of Chobani from 2016 to 2019.
