LOUISVILLE, CO — Family-owned izzio artisan bakery is taking its passion for sourdough to a new level with the introduction of its first integrated marketing campaign, Real Sourdough.

The digital campaign showcases the benefits of sourdough and invites consumers to taste the difference through its slow fermentation, small-batch baking and clean ingredients.

“The Real Sourdough campaign is about helping consumers cut through the noise in the bread aisle to better understand that real sourdough isn’t a flavor — it’s a craft that prioritizes slow fermentation, clean ingredients and quality over speed and convenience,” said Sara Kafadar, chief commercial officer at izzio artisan bakery. “We want to arm consumers with the information they need to choose sourdough bread made the time-honored way with natural fermentation and raise the standard of every loaf on every table.”

In addition to launching the campaign, the Louisville, CO-based baking company is also unveiling a new line of Organic Artisan Sandwich Breads, made with living sourdough cultures and slow fermentation.  It also features the same three ingredients as all izzio breads: freshly milled custom unbleached flour, water from the Rocky Mountains and salt.

New izzio Organic Artisan Sandwich Breads are available in six varieties: Sourdough, Classic White, Whole Wheat, Ancient Grains, Sprouted Seeds and Lucky 7 Multigrain.

The national sourdough brand recently opened a second bakery to meet demand across its more than 250,000 square feet of manufacturing space. The new facility — which is Safe Quality Food level 3 certified, nut-free and Non-GMO Project Verified — features built-in capabilities and state-of-the-art equipment to run an assortment of baked goods, including pan breads, baguettes, boules and batards.

“We’re encouraged by the strong growth that led to the opening of our second Colorado manufacturing location,” Kafadar said. “Even more meaningful is that this growth signals rising consumer demand for real sourdough made the right way.”

The new izzio breads can be found in more than 15,000 natural and major retailers across the US at an SRP of $6.49.
