CRANSTON, RI — For aspiring commercial bakers and brand makers, understanding the intricacies of bringing a CPG product to market is crucial. Whether launching a specialty cookie, variety snack mix, or other shelf-stable baked goods, building a successful CPG brand can create new revenue streams, expand a customer base and open doors to new sales channels.

To help bakers kickstart this process, the Bread Bakers Guild of America (BBGA) is hosting a webinar, “Building a Packaged Food Brand: An Introduction to CPG,” on Sept. 28 at 5:00 pm EST. Led by Laurie Ellen Pellicano, founder of small-batch shortbread and savory snacks brand Laurie Ellen, the webinar will feature key insights into developing a packaged product for the consumer marketplace; navigating labeling, packaging and regulatory requirements; evaluating alternative sales channels such as direct-to-consumer and wholesale; and understanding production choices for scaling a small-batch business.

Pellicano will speak on her background in high-volume bakery production, food styling and recipe development, and the key decisions involved in developing a market-ready product, building a recognizable brand and choosing the right path to market.

The webinar is $35 for members and $45 for non-members. To learn more about the webinar and to register, visit the BBGA website.
