Strategic acquisition strengthens J&K’s solutions portfolio

PATERSON, NJ — J&K Ingredients has spent decades advancing technologies that naturally extend freshness for the baking industry and has developed an extensive ingredient portfolio to improve softness, moisture retention and shelf life for bakery applications.

Aligned with its mission to remain a leader in this space, the company announced the acquisition of certain intellectual property and related assets from NuTek Natural Ingredients, a North Dakota-based company specializing in clean-label ingredient innovation.

With the integration of NuTek’s technologies, J&K will accelerate development of additional clean-label ingredients that address both evolving regulatory demands and performance expectations.
