ORRVILLE, OH — Voortman Bakery’s new cookie line is fit for the sugar-conscious consumer.
Voortman Perfectly Sweet cookies — available in seven varieties — contain 25% less sugar than the leading cookie. Of the seven cookies in the product line, three include a new soft-baked formula: Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Dark Chocolate Chunk and Oatmeal Raisin.
“We set out to create reduced-sugar cookie recipes that don’t compromise on taste, which led us to the perfectly sweet spot: 25% less sugar than the leading cookie,” said Chris Balach, VP of marketing, Sweet Baked Snacks at The J.M. The cookies are made with dark chocolate, raisins, almonds and shredded coconut and are free from high-fructose corn syrup and artificial colors and flavors.
Voortman Perfectly Sweet cookies come in a resealable package in US grocery retailers including Kroger, Food Lion and Giant.
