HORSHAM, PA — Grupo Bimbo was recognized by The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)  for its global efforts to combat climate change.

CDP is a non-profit organization which manages and produces analysis for publicly traded companies to disclose their environmental impact. The global baking company has achieved the “A” rating in The A-List 2023 ranking, the highest quality in this area.

Of the 21,000 global companies representing diverse industries, Grupo Bimbo falls among the Climate Change category winners and is the only Mexican food company to achieve this award.

”This recognition granted to us by CDP fills us all at Grupo Bimbo with pride,” said Rafael Pamias, COO and chief sustainability officer for Grupo Bimbo. “It reflects the commitment we have towards nature, being sustainable from the very beginning. We are convinced that to nourish a better future, we must act today.”

For Grupo Bimbo to earn an “A” grade ranking, the CDP conducted a detailed analysis of several variables such as transparency and clarity where companies report progress and set targets.

Grupo Bimbo has goals to reduce its environmental footprint and establish long-term sustainability goals including carbon emissions and sustainability using resources.
