BERKELEY, CA — Stone & Skillet, LLC. and Upcycled Foods, Inc. have launched the new premium Super Grains English Muffin.
This Upcycled Certified and non-GMO baked food is made with dough that contains ReGrained SuperGrain, which is created from spent grain from beer brewing.
“We experimented with our friends at UP, Inc. — the pros at upcycling — and were inspired by their ReGrained SuperGrain ingredient innovation,” said Cam Meekins, founder and CEO at Stone & Skillet. “The result of our experimentation is a muffin with a distinctive flavor and nutrition profile. This partnership strengthens our commitment to sustainably sourced ingredients, and I’m excited to add our new Super Grains innovation to our product portfolio.”
The new English muffin was designed to elevate any breakfast, brunch or snack, and may appeal to consumers who interested in reducing their food waste. ReGrained SuperGrain fortifies the muffin with 6g dietary fiber and 6g of protein per serving.
“We’re excited to partner with Stone & Skillet and bring a sustainable and nutritious breakfast option to consumers,” said Dan Kurzrock, co-founder and CEO of UP, Inc. “Our mission is to support brands in creating innovative products that are better for the planet and for people. This product brings that promise to life in an exciting new category.”
