NEW YORK — The Pizza Cupcake has signed a nationwide distribution deal with Walmart after amassing a large following from a deal on Shark Tank with entrepreneur Lori Greiner.
The product is available in Margherita and Pepperoni flavor varieties and is currently on the shelves in over 1,600 Walmart locations across 47 states for an SRP of $8.98 for a 6-pack retail box.
“We are so thrilled to be working with Walmart. We’re appreciative of their innovation in the space, and support for small businesses that focus on ingredients, quality and authenticity,” said Michelle Jimenez-Meggiato and Andrea Meggiato, founders of The Pizza Cupcake. “Thanks to Walmart, The Pizza Cupcake has now become more accessible than ever.”
The expansion to Walmart continues the company’s retail presence after it launched in other retailers — including Fairway, Fresh Direct, Stew Leonard’s, Whole Foods in New York and Wegman’s across the East Coast — about a year ago.
