EAST HANOVER, NJ — To commemorate the beginning of the new school year, Teddy Grahams, a Mondelez International brand, is partnering with Save the Children to give kids and their families the opportunity to continue learning all year long.
Studies have shown that kids can lose up to 34% of what they learned the previous year if they do not have access to learning materials and regular meals during the summer months.
To draw attention to this issue, Teddy Grahams is bringing Fair Book Fairs to consumers across the US. The brand has also committed $100,000 to the Save the Children’s Make Summer Fair campaign.
“We’re grateful for the Teddy Grahams brand’s ongoing support of Save the Children’s Make Summer Fair campaign,” said Betsy Zorio, VP, US Programs at Save the Children. “Summertime is a critical part of a child’s development, and we’re committed to making sure kids are well nourished throughout the summer and beyond — both mentally and physically.”
Thousands of families will be reached through the series of experiential and digital activations such as at the New Mexico State Fair on Sept. 9 and the North Alabama State Fair on Sept. 16 with Teddy Graham’s Fair Book Fairs. The popups will include free samples of Teddy Grahams snacks and books.
“All children deserve to enjoy a carefree childhood, one where they don’t have to worry about where their next meal or book is coming from,” said Caitlin Bolmarcich, brand manager of Teddy Grahams. “We’re proud to team up again with Save the Children, who work tirelessly to give kids in the U.S. books and resources, social support and wholesome meals.”
