LOS ANGELES — Susan “Susie” Sarich, founder and CEO of West Coast bakery SusieCakes, has been named to Forbes’ 50 Over 50 List.
The second annual list, which has no age limit, recognizes the successes of women across four categories — Lifestyle, Impact, Entrepreneurs and Money. Sarich is one of 50 women recognized in the Lifestyle category, joining the likes of Tory Burch, Martha Stewart, Kris Jenner and Dolly Parton.
“Being named to this list is an incredible honor,” Sarich said. “To be recognized next to some of the many women I admire most in this country is truly surreal.”
SusieCakes was born in 2006 when Sarich — who was 36 years old at the time — opened the first location in the Tony Brentwood neighborhood in Los Angeles. The brand has grown to an award-winning bakery with 26 locations across California and Texas.
The company recently launched national shipping program to offer its most popular cakes to customers all over the country.
