ARLINGTON, VA — As part of its advocacy work, SNAC International is holding opportunities at the start of the summer for its members to unite on behalf of the snack industry’s regulatory priorities.
The association is hosting two events designed to vocalize key concerns impacting snack producers to lawmakers. SNAC’s annual Legislative Summit, to be held June 9-10 in Washington, DC, will include meetings between members and US senators and representatives.
“SNAC’s Legislative Summit is where the snack industry shows up to shape the decisions that directly impact how we operate, from ingredient safety and packaging to preserving choice in SNAP,” said Matthew Grill, VP of advocacy for SNAC International. “In today’s policy environment, participation is more critical than ever as Congress, the White House and consumers sharpen their focus on nutrition and health. The snack industry has a powerful story to tell about American manufacturing, innovation and access, and the Legislative Summit is where that perspective helps inform the decisions that won’t stay in Washington.”
