CRAILSHEIM, GERMANY – The Schubert Group has announced that it will be presenting its lightline Cartonpacker solution at the PACK EXPO Las Vegas tradeshow, to be held Sept. 27-29 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. This will mark the first time the equipment is displayed at an American show and the first live trade show that Schubert has attended in North America since the beginning of the pandemic.
“Covid-19 has resulted in significant change and real social challenges over the past eighteen months,” said Hartmut Siegel, managing director at Schubert North America. “Fortunately, the pandemic did not slow down the further development of our product innovations, and demand from our North American customers for state-of-the-art packaging technology with a high degree of flexibility and automation has been strong.”
The machine is designed for fast and flexible erecting, filling and closing of cartons and cases.
According to the company, it is part of a secondary and tertiary packaging line for the Holland, MI-based contract manufacturer Hudsonville Creamery & Ice Cream. The packaging line will be used in the production of the popular Yasso ice cream brand.
“We were able to convince the customer of the machine’s exceptional flexibility. Because Hudsonville produces various brands of ice cream bars and ice cream sticks on behalf of third parties, flexibility is key to the versatile and profitable use of a new packaging machine,” said Stefan Hoffmann, the responsible sales account manager at Schubert North America.
Visitors to the trade fair in Las Vegas will be able to see the advantages of the lightline machines and hear from consulting experts on the Schubert North American team.
