VICTORIA, BC — Portofino Bakery, a Canadian commercial artisan bakery, announced a national distribution expansion.
The baking company’s products will now be available throughout Canada at all Walmart and Sobeys banner locations.
“Our whole belief at Portofino Bakery is in providing a much better product, a handcrafted product, at an accessible price point,” said Matt Cimon, president of Portofino Bakery. “We have now seen our artisan products resonate strongly across all of Canada, which strengthens our belief that people are looking for a better option than what is currently in the bread aisle.”
Some of the artisan breads and buns launching in Sobeys include Artisan Peasant Loaf, Portofino Sourdough Loaf, Roasted Garlic & Cracked Pepper Loaf, Deluxe Brioche Buns and Golden Potato Rolls.
In addition to its increased distribution footprint, the brand continues its social mission of doing better for Portofino’s employees, communities and the environment. Portofino, the largest Certified B Corp bread company in Canada, donates thousands of bread loaves annually in addition to reducing food waste.
