VICTORIA, BC — Portofino Bakery’s promise to consumers is to make “Real. Good. Bread.” Its new branding will make this promise well known in Western Canada grocery aisles.

Portofino, the flagship bread brand of Bond Bakery Brands, launched its new look on social media, product packaging, the bakery’s website and more on May 25. “Real Deal Bakery,” its new brand messaging, shares the bakery’s goal to improve the lives of its customers with better bakery products.

“Our core belief is simple, people want better bread and bun options than what is currently available to them,” said Matt Cimon, president of Portofino Bakery. “Our updated look is about sharing this belief with the world; and as our fans will tell you, there is good reason to get excited about the bread aisle if it is stocked with Portofino Bakery products.”

The company is credited with introducing a new artisan product category to bread shelves, and its updated branding puts focus on how its goods distinguish themselves among others. Portofino’s new brand homes in on three key factors behind its breads: ingredients, quality and freshness.

To prove to consumers that Portofino’s is still the same product as before the rebrand, consumers have the opportunity to compare samples from the old and new packaging at “Taste the no difference” launch events at select British Columbia grocery stores.
