To gain this designation, companies must reach a minimum score of 80 on the B Impact Assessment and pass a detailed review of their operations and business and the impact both have on their workers, customers, communities and environment.

“Earning the B Corporation Certification is something that our company is very proud of as it reiterates our commitment to making good products for good — better for people and the planet, high-quality, gluten-free, vegan and allergy-friendly,” said Denise Woodard, founder and CEO of Partake.

In the new year, Partake will continue to partner with like-minded organizations and nonprofits to fight food insecurity, increase access to safer foods and develop opportunities for people in underserved communities. The company will also continue its partnerships with 75 nonprofits and add three new annual partnerships: #HashtagLunchbag, Eat. Learn. Pray., and The Birthday Party Project.

Later this year, Partake will also bring back its Black Futures in Food & Beverage program, an initiative founded by Woodard. Each year, Partake selects fellows from participating Historically Black Colleges and Universities to connect with industry leaders through virtual workshops, panels and more. At the end of the program, fellows create a virtual capstone project and “demo day,” which allows executives from top brands to consider participants for internships.
