LONDON — New York Bakery Co., a UK-based Grupo Bimbo baking company known for its authentic NY-style boiled-and-baked bagels, is debuting pre-sliced bagels in all-new packaging.

As shoppers across the globe seek more versatile, convenient options across all dayparts, the pre-sliced format enables easier portioning and freezing, providing greater convenience while helping households reduce food waste.

“This is an important step forward for the range, bringing together greater convenience for shoppers with stronger standout and clearer navigation for retailers,” said Claire Kong, marketing director at New York Bakery. “By introducing pre-sliced bagels, we’re making New York Bakery even easier to enjoy across key occasions, while keeping the authentic taste, texture and quality shoppers know and love.”

Alongside the new sliced format, the baking company is introducing a new packaging design aimed at improving ease of shopping and communicating key product benefits more clearly. The refreshed packs feature brighter colors and clearer flavor differentiation, as well as relevant nutritional claims, including low-fat and high-fiber credentials.

“The refreshed packaging builds on this by making the range easier to shop, bringing each product’s key benefits to the forefront,” Kong added.

This investment will be supported by in-store and online shopper communications, consumer PR and influencer activity to build awareness of the new format and refreshed packs.

“Together, these updates reflect our continued commitment to listening to shoppers, investing in the category and working closely with our retail partners to drive visibility, engagement and repeat purchase,” Kong said.

The pre-sliced bagels and updated packaging will begin rolling out across major supermarkets in the UK this month, starting with The Original Bagels.
