NEW YORK — The Women Presidents Organization (WPO), a nonprofit organization supporting dynamic, diverse women business leaders, shortlisted Norwalk, OH-based New Horizons Baking Co. for its 2025 50 Fastest Growing Women-Owned/Led Companies.
“The 50 Fastest Growing Women-Owned/Led Companies list honors the remarkable accomplishments of women who are not only driving impressive revenue growth but also redefining the future of business,” said Camille Burns, WPO CEO. “Their leadership demonstrates the profound economic and societal impact of women at the helm. With a strong commitment to innovation, purpose, and people, these companies exemplify the essential role women-owned and led businesses play in building a more sustainable and inclusive economy. This recognition is more than a milestone; it’s a powerful affirmation of the transformative influence women have in shaping modern business.”
Consideration for the award requires privately owned companies to operate under women’s ownership or leadership and have at least $500,000 in revenue for each of the past five years. Honorees were recognized at the WPO Entrepreneurial Excellence Forum, held May 8 in San Antonio.
“This recognition underscores the unwavering commitment and effort of our exceptional team, and I am humbled to spearhead our journey,” said Trina Bediako, CEO of New Horizons. “While our success is not solely attributed to being a female-led business, it undeniably forms an integral part of our identity. My aspiration is for us to sustain controlled and profitable growth, leave a positive mark on the industry, and inspire other female leaders to drive change in competitive sectors amidst a dynamic landscape.”
Bediako, the second-generation leader of the family-owned bakery, recently lent her insights to Season 14 of Commercial Baking’s award-winning podcast, Troubleshooting Innovation.
