MINNEAPOLIS — Nature Valley, a General Mills brand, has turned back the clock with the re-launch of its 1980s Peanut Butter Boppers.
The retro treat is reemerging online in time with the final season of Netflix’s Stranger Things series, resulting in a limited-edition drop of Fudge Chip Peanut Butter Boppers, wrapped in packaging inspired by the hit streaming show.
The Boppers return with their original recipe, featuring a creamy peanut butter center rolled in crispy rice cereal and coated in fudge.
“We’re beyond excited to bring Boppers back from the 1980s and into fans’ hands one more time,” said Ray Joncas, VP, bars business unit at General Mills. “The beloved creamy, indulgent peanut butter-filled snack is the perfect match for streaming the new season, and we can’t wait for fans to enjoy.”
Consumers can find the nostalgic treat along with a shirt and a recipe card in a limited-edition kit for $19.87, while supplies last, exclusively at sreppob.com. Nature Valley will also release a DIY Boppers recipe on its website.
