SAN FRANCISCO — In a collaboration with upcycled food company Renewal Mill, female-owned and plant-based cookie brand Love + Chew’s latest product launch features Renewal Mill’s new upcycled oat flour.

With a mission to develop a high protein solution that is better for the consumer and the planet, Love + Chew’s collaboration with Upcycled Oat Milk Flour was beyond health purposes.

“We decided to incorporate Renewal Mill’s upcycled ingredient into our newest line because food waste is one of the largest drivers of climate change.” said Lauren Chew, CEO of Love + Chew.

Love + Chew’s newest flavor Peanut Butter Chip has 10 grams of protein and fiber per cookie and is composed of a combination of oat milk flour, peanut butter, chickpea flour and almond flour.

The High Protein Oat Milk Flour used in these cookies launched on shelves at Whole Foods earlier this summer and boasts over 31 grams of plant-based protein per half cup serving. The process of production occurs from the aftermath of oat milk production, where the nutrition-rich pulp is harvested and transformed into the gluten-free flour.

The 2 oz. Peanut Butter Chip protein cookies are available for purchase on Love + Chew’s website in a 12-count box for $39.99.
