LOS ANGELES — La Monarca Bakery announced that it is expanding distribution to new divisions of Albertsons, encompassing a total of eight states.
“Albertsons has been a great partner, and we are thrilled to bring our Mexican cookies and beverages to more Albertsons customers across the US,” said Ricardo Cervantes, co-founder and CEO of La Monarca Bakery.
The Mexican bakery brand’s lineup includes five scratch-made cookie SKUs made with simple ingredients and no artificial flavors or preservatives:
- Mexican Wedding Cookies (6 ounces) – La Monarca’s signature Wedding Cookies are made with butter and pecans and dusted with powdered sugar.
- Orejitas (3.4 ounces) – The brand’s palmiers are made with buttery puff pastry and lightly dusted with sugar for a golden-brown finish.
- Cinnamon Cookies (6 ounces) – The cinnamon shortbread cookies are dusted with a blend of cinnamon and sugar.
- Churro Cookies (3 ounces) – The bakery’s Churro Cookies are made with butter and cinnamon and are baked rather than fried.
- Mexican Chocolate Butter Cookies (4 ounces) – The Chocolate Butter Cookies are made with fair-trade cacao and real butter.
In November, the bakery’s product lineup grew with the addition of Assorted Mexican Cookies.
