DALLAS — When Kazoo Snacks launched in September 2021, it had a mission to make upcycled, water-saving tortilla chips. Just over a year later, the company has reached a major milestone of saving one million gallons of water.

Each bag of chips saves 20 gallons of water in support to produce more sustainable snacking to consumers in a convenient way, despite their location.

As a newcomer to the upcycled movement, Kazoo Snacks set the goal to save one billion gallons of water by 2025. With the help of its patent-pending technology, the brand is on track to achieve its goal.

“We’re so proud to have reached this pivotal milestone,” said Josh Death, founder of Kazoo Snacks. “We got into this business to provide consumers with more sustainable and eco-friendly snack options. With our customer’s support and our new distribution through Amazon, we’ll be able to do just that—and on a much larger scale.”

With the addition of Kazoo’s tortilla chips in the flavors Restaurant Style and Lime Zest available for purchase via Amazon marketplace, it is expanding the consumer reach and water savings.

The enzyme-rich tortilla chip is made from upcycled corn germ, which adds nutritious value.. The product also contains 61% more vitamin E than other brands and 140 calories per serving. The chips are also vegan, kosher and gluten-free while packed full of fiber, calcium, potassium and all-natural ingredients.

Both flavors can be purchased in three-packs on Amazon for $19.99. Consumers can also purchase Kazoo Snacks at local retailers including Arbor Farms, Brookhaven Marketplace, Caputo’s, Central Market, Fresh Farms, Hyvee, Market of Choice, Pete’s Market and Whole Foods North California for a suggested price of $4.49-4.99 per 11-oz. bag.
