YORK, PA — JLS Automation appointed Tom Pyper, a seasoned packaging and automation industry professional, to the newly created role of director of integrated systems and new markets.

YORK, PA — JLS Automation appointed Tom Pyper, a seasoned packaging and automation industry professional, to the newly created role of director of integrated systems and new markets.
In this role, Pyper will develop sales and product strategies for JLS’ integrated systems, an area where the company has seen tremendous growth. He will report to Ken Harding, VP of applications and product management.
“Tom has a strong technical background and has done everything from running engineering to operations and sales functions,” Harding said. “With his experience, the sales team at JLS will be able to further identify and pursue opportunities for growth and provide our customers with solutions that are even better customized to fit their needs.”
Pyper is a veteran of the US Marine Corps and brings over three decades of experience in the packaging and automation industries to JLS. Most recently, Pyper served as automated systems group (ASG) business development manager at Applied Manufacturing Technologies.
He previously held multiple engineering positions at Solo Cup Co., served as president and owner of Eastech, Inc. as well as executive VP and owner of Automated Motion He also previously worked at Packaged Systems and Caloris Engineering, LLC.
