LOUISVILLE, KY — Derrick Gibbs, a long-time member of the commercial baking industry, passed away June 19. He was 45 years old.

His contributions to the food manufacturing space spanned several companies, including Engelman’s Bakery, Dessert Holdings, CraftMark Bakery and Conagra Foods. Most recently, he served as multi-site GM for Green Thumb Industries.

His passion for food permeated all areas of his life beyond work. Known for testing new recipes, barbecuing and baking, he also enjoyed feeding people and spending time with his loved ones.

Gibbs is survived by his wife, Ashley; his son, Benjamin; the Lowery family and his in-laws; and his best friends.

A visitation and memorial service will take place June 27 in Powder Springs, GA.
