ORVILLE, OH – Hostess, a J.M. Smucker Co. brand, has introduced Joy Drops, its new campaign to spark moments of carefree joy.
“We believe in helping families elevate small moments of joy and togetherness in everyday life to create connections, and our snacks reinforce that,” said Chris Balach, VP of marketing, Sweet Baked Snacks, at The J.M. Smucker Co. “We are excited to further inspire carefree joy among families this summer in an innovative way, by literally dropping joy.”
Consumers can nominate themselves or someone they know with the name “Joy” in their first, middle or last name to receive a Joy Drop through July 2. One hundred winners will receive gifts featuring Hostess snacks such as Twinkies and Donettes.
Hostess has partnered with DroneUp, an autonomous drone delivery company, to deliver the Joy Drops in select cities across Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Texas, Utah and Virginia. Joy Drops will be delivered via mail for all other locations.

In addition to this campaign, Hostess dropped Meltamors this past spring, a fluffy mini-cake with a chocolate-flavored drizzle and a chocolate or caramel-flavored center.
