SAN FRANCISCO — Hero Bread, a better-for-you baked goods brand best known for its low-carb formulation, first launched nationwide in spring 2023. Since then, the brand has continued its growth and, most recently, entered 1,600 new retail stores and all 2,200 Albertsons locations in Q1 2025.

“Hero Bead is on a mission to help people live healthier lives, and being available in every local grocery store is key to achieving our goal,” said YuChiang Cheng, CEO of Hero Bread. “This retail expansion will help us put healthier bakery products in pantries nationwide.”

Hero’s array of products can now be found at Thrive Market, Hungryroot, Fred Meyer and Earth Dare.

The retail growth comes just months after the bakery brand expanded its reach to more than 500 select Whole Foods Market locations earlier this year.
