THOMASVILLE, GA — Flowers Foods announced the completion of its Simple Mills acquisition for $795 million.
The all-cash deal, announced in early January, bolsters Flowers’ reach and amplifies Simple Mills’ distribution and innovation.
“The addition of Simple Mills to our brand portfolio increases our presence in better-for-you and attractive snacking segments, diversifies our category exposure, and enhances our growth and margin prospects,” said Ryals McMullian, chair and CEO of Flowers Foods.
Simple Mills, founded in 2012 by Katlin Smith, offers an assortment of BFY crackers, cookies and snack bars in more than 30,000 natural and c-stores nationwide.
“We look forward to supporting the Simple Mills team as they embark on a new phase of growth by broadening distribution, accelerating innovation and amplifying brand awareness, while advancing their mission,” McMullian continued.
