THOMASVILLE, GA — Flowers Foods announced the rollout of 11 innovations across six of its bakery brands. The new items — which range from breads to sweet goods to protein bars — exemplify the baking company’s mission of developing new, distinctive products.

“The breadth and scope of our newest launches are a testament to our continued focus on innovation and the growth of our leading brands,” said Mark Courtney, chief brand officer for the Thomasville, GA-based company. “Our new products have been developed to meet the latest market trends and preferences, offering consumers more choice while driving additional value for our customers and our business.”

Of the lineup, three stem from the Nature’s Own brand, with each product maintaining its promise of no artificial flavors, colors, preservatives or high fructose corn syrup:

  • Keto Soft White Buns follow the successful launch of the Keto Net One loaf and also feature one net carb per serving.
  • Perfectly Crafter Flatbreads are available in two flavors, White and Garlic, and serve as a base for pizzas, sandwiches or wraps.
  • Small Loaves’ 12-ounce sizes are ideal for smaller households. Available in Ancient Grain and Homestyle White, the smaller portion size offers the same taste, texture and slice size as Nature’s Own’s standard loaves with fewer slices to reduce waste.

Dave’s Killer Bread rolled out two offerings:

  • Amped-Up Protein Bars come on the heels of the brand’s Organic Snack Bars release, which launched last year. The plant-based bars boast 10 grams of protein and are available in three flavors: Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk, Double Chocolate Coconut, and Blueberry Almond Butter.
  • Organic Rock ‘N’ Rolls, released in March, are the brand’s first nationally available dinner rolls. The rolls are composed of the brand’s 21 Whole Grains & Seeds blend and feature 12 grams of whole grains per serving.

Flowers’ Wonder brand debuted two bread staples:

  • Wonder Bagels are available in three flavors: Classic, Everything, and Blueberry.
  • English Muffins are ideal for various dayparts such as breakfast, lunch or snack. The traditionally baked products come in three flavors: Classic, Sourdough and Wheat.

Canyon Bakehouse, the company’s flagship gluten-free brand, broadened its breakfast offerings with its new product:

  • Cinnamon Raisin Bread, available on the brand’s online store, balances raisins and cinnamon and, like other Canyon Bakehouse offerings, is gluten-, dairy-, nuts- and soy-free.

Tastykakes unveiled not only a new flavor of Honeybuns but also package size:

  • Apple Cinnamon Honeybuns feature the classic flavors and include cinnamon swirls and apple accents. The 4-ounce offering functions as an indulgent portable snack.
  • Boxed Iced Honeybun Multipack, which includes six 2-ounce Honeybuns per pack, provides individually wrapped convenience in a smaller portion size for at-home consumption.

Lastly, Mrs. Freshley’s new product goes all-in on chocolate.

  • Deluxe HERSHEY’s Mini Muffins are a bite-size offering available in two flavors. Double Chocolate Mini Muffins are made with real HERSHEY’s cocoa and mini chocolate chips. The S’mores flavor includes a graham-flavored muffin with marshmallow bits and HERSHEY’s chocolate chips.
