PARSIPPANY, NJ — Ferrero North America, a part of the global confectionary company Ferrero Group, is debuting several new products and partnerships this week at the Sweets and Snacks Expo — including the introduction of an international favorite to the US.
The Nutella B-Ready, a baguette-looking snack bar made with a crispy baked wafer and filled with the creamy hazelnut spread, is making its way to the states. This will be the first Nutella innovation to come to the US since Nutella & GO!, the dippable breadstick snack, debuted in 2012.
The Nutella B-Ready was well received at the show, winning the Most Innovative New Product Award in the gourmet and premium category on Tuesday. It was the only baked good to earn this type of recognition.
“The innovations we’re unveiling at this year’s [show] will excite and attract new consumers, as well as expand our power brands into new categories and consumption moments,” said Jim Klein, chief customer officer for Ferrero US. “Launching impactful innovations and building strong customer partnerships will continue to deliver category growth and drive our success in the US.”
Other innovations, including several candy products, will also be showcased this week. Highlights include strawberry and cream Tic Tacs, new Kinder Joy lines with space and Avatar themes, and new premium chocolate bars with a focus on layers of texture and distinct shapes.
The Sweets and Snacks Expo began today and will continue through Thursday.
