SAN FRANCISCO AND REDWOOD CITY, CA  — Equii has teamed up with Impossible Foods, a plant-based protein provider, to expand Impossible Foods’ offerings beyond meat alternatives and into high-protein, grain-based breads and pastas.

This collaboration addresses the growing consumer demand for protein-forward pantry staples while complementing both companies’ existing portfolios.

“Protein is the number one food trend in the world, and the new Dietary Guidelines flipped the food pyramid to put protein at the top,” said Peter McGuinness, CEO of Impossible Foods, via LinkedIn. “This is a big step forward for us and the rest of the category, as consumers are looking for ways to pack in the protein. We’re excited to lead the charge.”

This isn’t Equii’s first protein-rich partnership. In 2024, the better-for-you brand collaborated with Bridor to launch premium baked goods that packed a punch in the protein department.
