SAN FRANCISCO — Equii, a food company that makes protein-rich breads and flour, has launched a manufacturing and distribution partnership with Bridor, a French manufacturer of premium bakery products.
Bridor will incorporate Equii’s yeast flour, the protein-packed ingredient behind the brand’s bread portfolio, into a new range of baked goods for foodservice clients across North America. The new offerings, available to hotel groups, restaurants, in-store bakeries and schools, include dinner rolls, sandwich carriers, artisan loaves and French toast.
“We are excited to partner with Bridor, a company that shares our commitment to quality and innovation,” said Baljit Ghotra, co-founder of Equii. “This partnership will allow us to bring the benefits of yeast protein to a broader audience, offering delicious and nutritious options to bakeries and restaurant operators.”
Equii’s protein yeast flour contains all nine essential amino acids and is specifically designed to meet the growing demand for nutrient-rich, protein-forward foods.
Through this partnership, both companies will be able to grow their portfolios and provide nutrient-dense products that don’t sacrifice taste.
“For the first time in our company’s history, we are selling protein-packed products,” said Eric Juillet de Saint-Lager, CEO of Bridor. “This collaboration with Equii allows us to enhance our product offerings with high-quality, complete protein to meet the evolving needs of our customers.”
Earlier this year, Equii and Bridor partnered to develop baked goods that prioritize health and sustainability attributes for the North American artisanal bakery market.
