CHICAGO — To celebrate National Cheesecake Day and the bakery’s 43rd anniversary, Eli’s Cheesecake will be passing out free cheesecake slices around Chicago July 28-30.

CHICAGO — To celebrate National Cheesecake Day and the bakery’s 43rd anniversary, Eli’s Cheesecake will be passing out free cheesecake slices around Chicago July 28-30.
The original Chicago-style cheesecake was created 43 years ago by restaurateur Eli Schulman. In addition to the free product distributed around the city, consumers can purchase a slice of cheesecake for 43¢ from the bakery all weekend.
Consumers can follow Eli’s Cheesecake on Twitter to see which locations are offering the deal. The bakery will also be donating desserts to the medical staff at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, Northwestern, Lurie Children’s Hospital and Chicago’s first responders.
