SOLON, OH — More commonly known for its frozen pizza varieties, Nestle-owned DiGiorno is giving the concept of a whole new meaning.
In honor of National Ice Cream Day, the frozen pizza brand has transformed its croissant crust into croissant ice cream cones and partnered with a Cleveland creamery to create two savory ice cream flavors — Strawberry Tomato Basil and Parmesan Cheese.
“We’re always trying to think outside of the box, listen to pizza fans and push boundaries to meet demand,” said Kimberly Holowiak, DiGiorno brand manager at Nestlé. “Our crust cones are a unique summer treat and surprising new way for people to experience the taste of DiGiorno Croissant Crust they know and love.”
Starting July 7 and up until the holiday on July 17, consumers can enter a giveaway for a chance to win this exclusive, flaky product. The kit includes two DiGiorno Croissant Crust cones, one pint of each ice cream and a grocery card for toppings to pair with the pizza-flavored sweet.
