LAS VEGAS — Before the tradeshow floor opens, Dawn Foods will kick off the International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE) — taking place Sept. 18-21— when Paul Caske, VP of technical sales, presents “Tips and Tricks for Better Efficiency” Sept. 18 at 8:30 a.m. in Room W305-306 in the West Hall. Caske will join Dawn technical expert Randy McArthur to share best practices for keeping an artisan bakery running smoothly and efficiently. Tips include optimal ways to handle products, tackling labor shortages donut frying tips and ideas for leveraging limited-time offers and seasonal products.
Next, Alexis Gilbert, global brand and communications for Dawn Foods, will present “Breaking Through the Digital Noise – Strategies, Tactics and Tools to Get Your Bakery Noticed Online” at 9:45 a.m. As learned during the pandemic, bakeries need to have an active, authentic presence online for the best consumer interaction. In this session, Gilbert will help bakers leverage the right platforms for their business to cut through the noise to drive traffic — and sales — to their bakery.
On the IBIE show floor at Booth #1601, Dawn Foods will welcome attendees for samples of nearly a dozen donut varieties, as well as hands-on interaction with technical experts who can help bakers create unforgettable donuts of their own.
With labor shortages plaguing bakeries of all sizes, Dawn will demonstrate its new Dawn Exceptional E-Z Open Flat Icings, designed to help bakers save time. A featured new solution is Dawn’s new Pak Perfect Non-Sticky Donut Glaze. This resolves a long-standing issue in the donut industry: the stickiness and dissolving of the glaze on packaged donuts. This solution uses a proprietary formulation that prevents the migration of moisture from the donut to the glaze, which causes the undesired dulling, flaking and stickiness of a product. In contrast, the Dawn Pak Perfect Non-Sticky Donut Glaze is not absorbed by the donut and remains highly stable and non-sticky for five days.
