KANSAS CITY, MO — Avant Food Media, publisher of Commercial Baking and Craft to Crumb, announced the release of its 2024 Impact Report.

“At Avant Food Media, we want to use our platform to drive meaningful change,” said Jordan Winter, creative director of Avant Food Media. “This impact report reflects our commitment to uplifting diverse voices within the baking industry and championing sustainability.”

The report, which debuted in 2023, highlights the company’s impact across various metrics. From the diversity in coverage across both brands to Avant’s support of key causes, this year’s report is indicative of its commitment to doing B2B media differently. 

Under the sustainability branch of the report, Avant highlights its role as a partner with the National Forest Foundation (NFF), which leads conservation efforts and promotes responsible recreation in the US’ national forests.

“Our team is especially excited about our new Sapling Program initiative,” she continued. “By planting a tree for every print ad we sell, we’re responding directly to the environmental impact of printing our magazine.”

This year, the company’s contribution totaled 312 trees planted through the NFF’s Sapling Program, designed for smaller companies looking to lock in their environmental commitment.

Avant’s Impact Report also breaks down the coverage from both of its brands and how it elevates underrepresented voices in the industry and spotlights those making a difference.

“By telling the stories that matter and being conscious of our operations as a company, we’re shaping a better future for our industry and our planet,” Winter concluded. “We hope this is a starting point to inspire other companies to do the same, in the world of baking and beyond.”
