ASB opens nominations for 2026 Rising Baker Award

CARMEL, IN — BakingTECH 2026, the American Society of Baking’s (ASB) premier event, is on the horizon, set to take place Feb. 16-19 in Chicago.

As part of the event, the Rising Baker Award will be presented to a young professional who has made significant contributions to wholesale baking and demonstrated industry involvement and career dedication. Nominations for the award are now open through Nov. 24.

The 2025 Rising Baker Award was presented to Sarah Tsocanos, manager of bakery for The Campbell’s Co. Tsocanos was the fourth Rising Baker Award recipient, following James Happ and John Hinds, who received the inaugural award in 2023 and Catherin Herrera who earned the honor in 2024.
