CARMEL, IN — The American Society of Baking (ASB) set a date for its American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Z50 Safety and Sanitation Committee meeting. ANSI is a private, non-profit organization that coordinates the US voluntary standards and conformity assessment system.
The meeting will be held on Feb. 16 at noon ET during BakingTECH 2025, to be held at the Renaissance Orlando Seaworld Resort.
The agenda includes the ANSI Audit Report as well as Z50.1-2006 (R2016) for bakery equipment safety standard and Z50.2-2015 (R2020) regarding bakery equipment sanitation standard. Committee members will also discuss procedures for annual ANSI compliance and the Bakery Equipment Assessment Group (BEAG).
The next planned meeting for this committee is set for Feb. 17, 2026, at the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk. For additional information on ANSI, visit the ASB website.
