EWING, NJ — Arm & Hammer’s Performance Products Division announced its collaboration with Kudos Blends, a UK-based manufacturer of industrial baking powders and leavening agents, to bring new potassium bicarbonate solutions to the US baking market.

Under the Koda brand name, the companies are manufacturing an alternative to sodium bicarbonate that adds potassium and reduces sodium in baked goods while maintaining taste profiles.

Koda 50 and Koda 100 are also formulated to deliver efficient leavening, ease of handling and maximum stability.

Koda 50 prevents bicarbonate spotting and is well-suited for low-moisture dough products such as biscuits, while Koda 100 is used for batter-based products such as cakes and guarantees proper dissolution properties.
