URBANA, OH – Bundy Baking Solutions has announced that its industrial baking pan and coating brand, American Pan, is expanding in the European market through the acquisition of Runex, the Swiss company known for its bakeware and coating services.
The agreement includes taking over Runex’s production, sales and service operations in Sweden, Norway and the UK.
Gilbert Bundy, CEO of Bundy Baking Solutions, was enthusiastic about the deal and noted the shared goals between the two groups.
“The Runex business and team is a great addition to our European operations,” Bundy said. “Not only do our two family-owned companies have similar values, but we also both have a passion for the baking industry and a reputation of providing exceptional service.”
Pär Adelman, CEO of Runex, shared Bundy’s sentiments and was excited to become a part of such a reputable organization.
“We are very excited about the future of Runex as part of the American Pan and Bundy organizations. We have always been proud of our focus on serving bakers, and the American Pan team shares that same dedication, plus a strong history of innovation,” Adelman said.
American Pan adds these new locations to its existing operations throughout Europe in the UK, Spain and Romania. Runex’s current coating operation located in Luton, England, has been moved to the American Pan site in Skelmersdale, England, and will continue to refurbish Runex brand coatings. The Runex locations in Sweden and Norway will continue operations in their current facilities.
