WAIMEA, HI — AI is no longer a tool of the future; it’s here, and it’s here to stay. While the “newness” hasn’t quite worn off, business leaders and teams have been using AI for years now to improve efficiency, communication and decision-making across their organizations.

Jon Lakefish, co-founder of SpeekFeed, a mobile-first feedback and AI follow-up platform, spoke to how AI can streamline workflows and unlock new levels of productivity at BEMA Convention 2026, held June 25-29 in Waimea, HI.

Lakefish provided real-world examples of how business leaders could incorporate AI into their operations, starting with onboarding new hires. He noted that AI can play a crucial role as a brand spokesperson.

“You can create a training video using [Google’s] Video 3.1 for 40 bucks a month,” Lakefish explained, “and if something is not perceived the way you want it to be, you can change it instantly. You can record a voiceover and include the CEO’s voice in clear, professional audio.”

Financial dashboards are another avenue business leaders can improve with AI. Fiscal years, revenue, EBITDA, net income, gross profit and gross margin can all be simplified and plugged into a spreadsheet in 10 minutes or less with the help of the technology, enabling companies to streamline and share key information with stakeholders.

“All of that can be done by uploading two Excel spreadsheets to a platform called Manus,” Lakefish said. “Or you can shift over to Claude, create a live artifact, and inside a live artifact, reference a folder on your laptop that has your financials … and all of that can be done in an instant.”

From training materials to redesigned digital assets and everything in between, AI can be used to scale outreach, research and sales strategies. Above all, Lakefish assured Convention attendees that AI can be used safely without compromising proprietary information.

“If you allow your team to use these tools, and you subscribe to the business or the enterprise plan — which you can do inside any of the platforms right now — your data is secure,” he said. “The plans are usually $20 to $25 per seat per person.”
