WASHINGTON, DC — The American Bakers Association (ABA) has announced the keynote speakers for the American Bakers PAC Dinner, set to be held during the 2024 ABA Convention in Scottsdale, AZ.

In a show of bipartisanship, former Sen. Roy Blunt (R-MO) and former Rep. Val Demings (D-FL) will address critical issues facing the US in a point-counterpoint conversation.

“With their extensive experience in public service and national affairs, Senator Blunt and Congresswoman Demings will undoubtedly bring a lively and insightful discussion to this year’s PAC Dinner,” said Stephanie Tillman, chair of the American Bakers PAC and chief legal counsel of Flowers Foods. “We are excited to hear their perspectives on the critical issues impacting the baking industry, now and in the future.”

Sen. Blunt served on the Intelligence Committee in the House and Senate, developing a great understanding of national and global security interests as well as international trade issues. During his career in public service, he formed long-lasting, bipartisan partnerships leading to major legislative achievements in areas such as health care, trade, infrastructure and national security.

Rep. Demings served in the House of Representatives 2017-2023. During her tenure, she worked on the Judiciary, Intelligence, Homeland Security, and Oversight and Government Reform committees. Before her work in Congress, Demings spent over three decades in law enforcement at the Orlando Police Department, working up the ranks to become its first female chief of police.

The American Bakers PAC dinner will be held on April 15 and is a ticketed event. Invitations and ticketing instructions for this event have been sent to authorized PAC supporters.
